â (extended A as in "art")

(â) is an extended form of (alef or a) that is used only at the beginning of a word; its sound is similar to the letter 'a' in the word "art".

Example:
The following example shows the usage of the letter (â) in the word "âmrikâ" (America). Note that the first and the last letters sound the same (aa); but since the first 'a' is at the beginning of the word, the letter "aa(â)" is used instead of the letter "alef".
